I knew from a young age that I was destined for the financial industry. Growing up with a father who was a stockbroker and mining engineer, our family dinner discussions often revolved around local gold stocks, the price of gold, the market, dividends and inflation. Intrigued by it all, I began working alongside my father and soaked up as much as I could. When I was old enough, I took my Canadian Securities Course and was on my way. My father taught me many valuable lessons, but one that is forever ingrained in my mind is ‘your word is your bond’. It’s a lesson I carry with me, pass along to my family and team and try to live up to in every client interaction. It is important for me to develop trusting relationships with the people in my personal and professional life.
In the early stages of my career I knew I wanted to do more than just mine stocks. I wanted to help simplify the complexities of wealth management, so my clients felt more confident in achieving their financial and retirement goals. Becoming an Investment Advisor who specializes in retirement income has proven to be so fulfilling because I get to do just that. For over 35 years, I’ve helped clients achieve their vision for their retirement and legacy.
Hank Wissenz and I founded RiverKeeper Wealth Management. We’re an experienced team of specialists dedicated to helping our clients define and achieve their goals for the present and future. We are there for each step of the retirement planning process and ensure you have the tools and knowledge to succeed.

I grew up with the belief that we were put on this planet to do good for others. Financial matters impact us all and there is so much we aren’t taught in the early years. It is for this reason that I entered into the financial industry – it allows me to do something where I can live up to that belief daily. In the 32 years I have spent providing financial advice to clients, I’ve uncovered that my experience and passion shine brightest when I am supporting clients with their retirement income planning. I help people close the gap of where they are today and where they need to be to retire. This requires patience, planning and commitment. I work alongside my clients to understand their unique goals and desires. From there, we build a comprehensive plan that is designed to help them to accumulate the wealth they need to pursue their retirement dreams.
I completed a degree in Economics, but what has prepared me best for this career is spending ten years working for a small business where I worked directly with clients and staff on the front lines. My educational background coupled with my work experiences have equipped me with the tools and knowledge to best support clients in their financial journey. When I think about what I love most about my job, the answer is simple. It’s the people I work with every day. I feel driven by supporting my clients in reaching their long and short-term financial goals. I understand some of the challenges that can come with retirement planning and times of transition, but I like to empower my clients through open dialogue to alleviate some of the complexities that can arise. By working together with open communication, I can help you avoid the unnecessary pitfalls that others may fall into.
My life isn't all work and no play. I love human powered sports, especially on the snow and water. Cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and my favourite, backcountry skiing, are winter activities I train for all year round. When the sun is shining, you can find me swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing and windfoiling. That’s how I take advantage of living on the shore of Lake Erie. I’ve also got a passion for music and love playing my guitar to unwind.

The finance industry is an ever-changing environment that requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to connect and create lasting relationships with clients. As someone who values building trusting relationships and enjoys the strategy behind wealth planning, I decided to complete my Canadian Securities Course in 2013 to become a Client Service Associate. I started at TD Wealth Private Investment Advice 2013 and joined RiverKeeper Wealth Management in 2017. In addition to doing my best to provide friendly, efficient and reliable client service, I’m committed to helping our team and clients achieve their goals.
I graduated from Brock University with a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Communications. As a lifelong learner, I knew I was hungry for more education after I completed this degree. This is what led me to complete the Wealth Management Essentials course. Additionally, at RiverKeeper Wealth Management, I get to come to work every day and learn firsthand from our team of experienced advisors and other TD specialists. It’s something I value tremendously as I continue to grow in this industry.
Outside of the office, my top priority is spending time with my pup, Augusta. She’s a rescue dog from Georgia and I want to provide a happy and active life for her. On the weekends, you can find me at Trivia Nights where I like to keep my mind sharp and spend time with friends!
