Sean is passionate about investing and about helping people to reach their goals. He left his earlier career as a lawyer so that he could pursue these passions in his work. Prior to joining TD Wealth Private Investment Advice, Sean worked as a Tax and Estate Planner with the Wealth Advisory Services team at TD Wealth, where his focus was helping clients to resolve their tax and estate planning issues. In his current role, Sean finds a great deal of satisfaction in helping clients develop and implement holistic wealth management plans that go beyond their investment portfolios.
A lifelong Albertan, Sean moved from Wetaskiwin to Edmonton to study engineering at the University of Alberta in 2003. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2008 before continuing his studies at the university in the Faculty of Law that same year. He graduated with his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2011 and was admitted to the Bar in Alberta in 2012 after completing his articles with a firm in Edmonton. He transitioned to inactive status with the Law Society of Alberta after joining TD Wealth Private Investment Advice.
Sean holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. He also holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Sean lives with his wife Natalie, daughter Isla and their two dogs in south Edmonton. Outside of work, he tries to balance out his love for food by staying active and going to the gym. He also enjoys reading, watching movies and following the NFL.
