Jason Mychasiw is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Advisor with TD Wealth Private Investment Advice in Thunder Bay. He works with individuals, families, and business owners to provide disciplined investment management and coordinated wealth planning aligned with their long-term goals.
Jason leads the investment strategy for his practice, focusing on resilient portfolios through thoughtful asset allocation, risk management, and ongoing oversight. His personalized approach prioritizes each client’s needs and provides clear, practical guidance for confident financial decisions.
Jason brings more than 20 years of financial services experience across investment management, corporate banking, and capital markets. Before joining TD Wealth in 2014, he held roles in TD’s commercial and corporate banking teams and in mergers and acquisitions with GMP Securities in Toronto.
He has also held governance roles, including Chair of the Audit Committee for a publicly traded mining company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and in Peru, and advisory board member to another public company.
Beyond portfolio construction, Jason works with clients and their professional advisors, including accountants and lawyers, to support tax planning, estate structuring, and wealth transition strategies. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Lakehead University.
Born and raised in Northwestern Ontario, Jason lives in Thunder Bay with his wife, Terianne, and their twin sons, Carter and Cohen. Outside work, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors with his family.

Chris Benz is an Associate Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor with TD Wealth Private Investment Advice in Thunder Bay. He works with high-net-worth individuals and families across Northwestern Ontario to deliver tailored investment advice and integrated planning aligned with their long-term goals.
Chris leads the wealth planning approach for his practice, focusing on personalized strategies shaped by tax efficiency, growth, risk management, and legacy planning. He provides clear, practical guidance to help clients make confident financial decisions.
Chris joined TD in 2002 and became an Investment Advisor in 2019 after serving in various roles. He has worked in Thunder Bay, Fort Frances, Kingston, and Ottawa, returning to Thunder Bay in 2016, and is committed to helping clients build strategies that evolve with their needs.
Working with a broader team of specialists, Chris works with clients and their professional advisors to develop integrated strategies that support long-term goals, protect wealth, and improve after-tax outcomes. He holds both the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designations.
Outside work, Chris enjoys time with his wife, Isabelle, and their two children, Mason and Addyson. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, ice fishing, skiing, hockey, and family time on Lake Nipigon.

Raeanne Shewchuk, Client Service Associate
Raeanne began her banking career in 2008 and joined TD Wealth Private Investment Advice in 2013. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, she values the strong connections she has built in her community and takes pride in serving clients locally.
A 2004 graduate of the Administrative Accounting Program, Raeanne plays an integral role on the team, overseeing compliance and supporting trade execution and portfolio processing. She has completed the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook course, strengthening her financial services knowledge. Her experience and attention to detail help ensure client service and operations are handled with accuracy and care.
Raeanne is committed to exceptional client service and building trusted, long-term relationships. She approaches each interaction with empathy and works to understand each client’s needs in order to provide thoughtful, reliable support.
Outside work, Raeanne enjoys spending time with her family, including her two children. In summer, she plays softball and enjoys time at camp, and in winter, she enjoys travelling when possible.
