Wealth management advice based on your unique goals
Denis Blais was born and raised in Ottawa and was brought up in a hardworking family who helped instill in him principled values and a solid work ethic. In 1996 he got his start in the financial industry working with Richardson Greenshields where he immersed himself in the exciting field of investments and finance.
Denis joined TD in 2006 and moved into his role as an Investment Advisor in 2007. He has since grown with the bank and was appointed Vice President at TD Wealth Private Investment Advice in 2017 for maintaining the highest level of professional conduct, and is committed to demonstrating exceptional integrity and ethical standards. In July 2020, Denis joined Momentum Wealth Management at TD Wealth.
In his time in the financial industry, Denis has helped his clients navigate through many different market cycles and challenges. He attributes his ability to assist clients in turbulent times to some of his past work experiences including working with sick children at CHEO and volunteering as a bereavement councilor to young adults. He draws on these experiences to help others work through emotional times and the stresses of the capital markets. Denis considers the best approach to investing to be a balance of high-quality investments.
Away from the office, Denis is an avid cyclist and hockey goalie. Both of Denis’ daughters play hockey, and off ice, Denis takes pride in volunteering to train the next generation of female hockey goalies. When he’s not blocking shots, Denis also enjoys refereeing minor hockey throughout the capital region.
