May 27, 2004, that was the day I first came to this wonderful country to pursue my Canadian dream. After a few years of hard work, in 2009, I graduated from Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree with Distinction, double majoring in Finance and Accounting. The journey of my financial services career began at that moment.

After spending almost three years practicing treasury risk management at the Canadian Wheat Board, I joined a global investment firm headquartered in Winnipeg. After spending close to two years as Senior Investment Accountant, I had an opportunity to join the firm's investment management division and spent over four years managing high-net-worth and institutional client portfolios and also a number of equity mandates within the firm's mutual fund portfolios.

During 2015 to 2017, my commitment to continuous education had earned me the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation conferred by the CFA® Institute. Earning this globally recognized designation not only is an indication of my commitment, passion, and aspiration towards my career objectives, but also a recognition of experiences and expertise in both investment and wealth management practices. I did not just stop there; from 2017 to 2018 my particular interest in Financial Technology (FinTech) inspired me to obtain a FinTech Certificate from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

I am currently volunteering at CFA Society Winnipeg promoting the CFA designation and the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct to university students, the general public, and the global investment community. I proudly became a Canadian citizen in 2016 and I have always kept close relationships to various local communities and our diversified local ethnic groups. Currently, I serve on the board of Manitoba Great Wall Performing Arts Inc., which is an independent non-profit amateur cultural performance organization dedicated to communicate and promote Chinese culture and arts across Canadian multi-cultural groups. I am happily married to my wife Bing and together we have a beautiful daughter Valentina.
