We believe that having an Investment Philosophy is the most effective counterbalance to the behavioral tendencies of investors.

We believe that it is imperative to guard against any level of concentration in any one geography. Utilizing investments and asset classes from around the world help to insulate clients from excessive risk.
Dividend Bias
We believe that having a bias towards dividend-paying investments assists clients in two very important ways:
1. If the money is allowed to be re-invested, it creates a compounding effect that can improve the total return characteristics of the overall portfolio.
2. For clients that require income, dividends have the potential to increase if the companies continue to grow, which can help offset the effects of inflation.
Re-balancing
We believe that it is imperative to occasionally re-balance portfolios. Re-balancing allows a systematic return to proper diversification levels, while removing emotion from the process. A properly balanced portfolio should have better long term performance while at the same time reduce overall risk.
