Ryan Somes is a Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor at TD Wealth Private Investment Advice, located in The Toronto Summit Branch. Ryan provides a comprehensive-suite of wealth management services to his clients, including discretionary portfolio management, tax strategies, investment planning and estate strategies. Ryan has been providing his clients with innovative wealth management solutions for nearly a decade. His clientele includes not for profit organizations/charitable and foundation accounts who require capital preservation and income as their main goals.  Since the age of 13, Ryan has spent his life working and volunteering with different charitable organizations across Canada.  He also works with high-net worth individuals, families and corporations with an array of investment and investment planning needs. Clients typically engage Ryan because he feels that they are looking for a long-term advisory relationship and superior financial advice from someone they can trust.

One of Ryan's strengths is strict adherence to the ‘gold-star’ standards in investment planning and portfolio management. Ryan couples his years of first-hand experience with his education to develop relevant and progressive financial strategies for his clients. Ryan holds the distinguished Personal Financial Planner designation and Chartered Investment Manager designations. After years of rigorous education, peer endorsements and proven portfolio performance, Ryan achieved the coveted Portfolio Manager designation- one of the highest honours in the financial industry.

Ryan has been actively-involved in a wide range of charitable and community organizations including Variety Village, The Canadian National Institute for the Blind, The Kidney Foundation, The Lung Association, Sick Kids Hospital, The Friends of Honduran Children, Community Living, and Friends for Life. For the last 4 years Ryan has volunteered as a big brother to a special-needs adult through the Best Buddies Foundation. 

When not working or volunteering, Ryan is an avid traveler and dedicated athlete. Ryan enjoys playing league hockey, surfing, wakeboarding and snowboarding. Outgoing and personable, you will also find Ryan at your local community events with his wife Anthea, and his rescue dog Fred.
