I have been providing wealth advice to my clients since 1983. Through my many years of working in the financial industry, I have gained extensive knowledge of the markets and investment products, and have considerable experience managing large investment portfolios. I take a personal interest in the financial success of all of my clients, providing individually tailored advice to serve their needs. Communication and building lasting relationships are key to my success.
My approach…
I take a disciplined approach to wealth management to help my clients accumulate and preserve their wealth. Whether clients are new or long-standing, I go above and beyond to make each of them feel that they are my top priority, because they are. I stay focused on my clients’ objectives, working with them to achieve their short- and long-term financial goals, whatever they may be. I design specialized client portfolios to help maximize investor return for various risk levels, but before I put an investment strategy in place, I spend a lot of time with my clients, getting to know their comfort level, risk tolerance, goals and objectives. Being a good listener is an important quality in an investment advisor and it’s something I do well. I listen to my clients as they describe their plans and dreams and am receptive and open to their suggestions, input and questions. I anticipate necessary adjustments and recommend solutions where appropriate on an ongoing basis, and I always strive to keep my clients informed and up to date on current market information. For retirement and estate planning, I draw on a network of TD specialists. The bottom line is that with the help of my committed team, I focus every day on providing exceptional service to my clients as I work with them to achieve their financial objectives.
About me…
Born and raised in Saint John, and currently living in Rothesay, I have strong ties to my community and believe in giving back. Currently, I sit on the TD Female Advisory Council (TD Women and Wealth), the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation and the leadership team for the Business Community Anti-Poverty Initiative (BCAPI). Over the years I have raised funds for numerous charitable organizations, including the United Way Saint John, Kings & Charlotte 2020 Community Campaign (Chair), Canadian Breast Cancer Run for the Cure (Chair), Muriel McQueen Fergusson Foundation, KV Oasis Youth Centre, Teen Resource Centre (TRC), St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation and Hospice of Greater Saint John. I have also served on the TD National Advisory Committee, the Board of Directors for the Saint John Airport Authority, and the Board of Governors for both Rothesay Netherwood School and St. Thomas University. I strive for balance in life, so in addition to my career and community involvement, I love spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, cooking, travelling and reading.
