Sean graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of
Science in Electrical Engineering in 2008 and a Bachelor of Laws in
2011. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2012. Following his Bar
call, Sean worked as an associate lawyer for a firm in Edmonton,
focusing primarily on intellectual property law, while practicing
employment, commercial and real estate law as well. In 2013, he
took a position with a large pipeline company, where he spent
three years as in-house counsel, advising on general commercial
and construction law matters. During that time, Sean’s passion
for personal finance and investing led him to take the Canadian
Securities Course.
In 2016, Sean was thrilled to join TD Wealth as a Tax and Estate
Planner on the Wealth Advisory Services team. He is currently
progressing toward his Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation
through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Sean
draws on his diverse legal background and the problem-solving skills
that he developed while practicing law and studying engineering. He
leverages his diverse background to provide TD Wealth clients with
tax and estate planning information and strategies
tailored to their unique needs and goals.
