Over the last 25 years, Marc has built a solid reputation in the financial field. As one of the founding members of Larente Baksh & Associates, he takes pride in the sense of leadership he brings to bring to this team. The group is one of the few to have passed the 1 billion under management threshold within Canada.
In leading the investment committee of the group, his mandate is to set the investment guidelines followed by all the group's portfolio managers. His philosophy is simple and effective: optimize the risk/return of the portfolios. This is done by choosing exclusively investment grade instruments put on the market by companies who, at the time of purchase, have a solid balance sheet and an impeccable track record. His prime concern is always safeguarding our client's capital.
Specializations: • Investment strategies geared towards income • Sectorial asset allocation • Macro-Economic analysis
He currently sits on the board at the Montreal Children's Hospital foundation. He enjoys giving much of his time to organizations which help improve sick children's quality of life. He is also very involved in fundraising initiatives for many organizations in Montreal including ones for the St. Mary's and St. Justine hospitals and Place des Arts.
By his side through everything he does is his family. He has two children, Nick and Emma, that he is very proud of. As well as his beautiful and caring wife of over 20 years, Heidi.
Larente Baksh & Associates or Larente Baksh & Associates, Wealth Management Group is part of TD Wealth Private Investment Advice, a division of TD Waterhouse Canada Inc. which is a subsidiary of The Toronto-Dominion Bank.
I am participating in this year's Pedal for Kids event, raising funds for the Montreal Children's Hospital. All funds raised during this year's event will go to support the Healthy Kids Fund, which covers the hospital’s most urgent needs. In these uncertain times, young patients and medical experts need our help more than ever.
Given the current circumstances, Pedal for Kids 2020 will take place on September 26th 2020. Although we would have loved to ride the mighty bike through the streets of downtown Montreal, to respect government regulations regarding physial distancing and to ensure the health and safety of all participants, this year's Pedal for Kids event will take the form of a drive-in.
More than ever, we are doing this for the children. Together, we have the power to put a smile on a child's face and forever make a difference in a child's life.
