Darsh's Baked Tofu with Cashews
Ingredients:
- Oil
- 500G Extra Firm Tofu
- 4-5 Garlic Cloves
- ¼ Cup Sweet Red Chili Sauce
- ¼ Cup Hoisin Sauce
- 2-3 Tablespoons sodium reduced Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar (or honey as a substitute) Sriracha hot sauce to taste
- 3/4 Cup cashews
Instructions:
- Cut tofu into bite size squares and put in bowl
- Press garlic cloves and set aside
- Add oil to wok over medium to high heat
- Cook tofu for 8-10 minutes until slightly crispy
- While tofu is cooking mix together sweet red chili sauce, hoisin sauce, soya sauce, brown sugar and hot sauce in a bowl
- Add garlic and cook 2-3 minutes
- Add bowl of mixed sauce to tofu and garlic
- Cook for 5-7 minutes until sauce starts to caramelize on tofu
- Add cashews and mix
- Serve immediately over a bed of rice with a side salad
