"Working together to help you achieve what truly matters to you"

Whether you need retirement savings, regular income or estate planning - wealth management is a long term proposition. To succeed, you must be able to trust the advice you receive along the way. Trust that is based on performance, service and professionalism.

I believe that performance is measured by more than results. Performance means taking the time to understand and evaluate your unique situation to help ensure the results fit your needs. It means delivering carefully researched, objective advice that looks at every opportunity.

Service means timely, thorough reporting, constant personal vigilance and regular contact over the long-term to make sure your financial strategy keeps up with the changes in your life. And, it can include accessing advice from other referrals such as accountants, lawyers or tax specialists.

Investment advice demands high standards of professional conduct  - discretion, thoroughness and an unwavering concern for your well-being.

I know that your ultimate goal is to have peace of mind as you accumulate, preserve and transition your wealth. My process is in-depth and ongoing, so that the solutions we build together reflect your objectives at every stage of your life.

I believe that the best client is one who is informed, and I strive to develop a personal, communicative relationship with each of my clients.

Since joining TD Wealth in 1997, I have completed studies in Professional Financial Planning, have earned the Financial Management Advisor designation, have been licensed as a Life Insurance Advisor with TD Waterhouse Insurance Services Inc., and was granted the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designation - recognized as the highest honour in the financial services industry in Canada. As a Branch Manager, I have completed numerous other courses, including the Options Supervisor Course and the Partners, Directors and Officers Course.

A passionate advocate of “giving back”, I am a long-term (25+ years) supporter of two children through Plan Canada, was a Girl Guide leader for five years and served as president of a non-profit daycare for four years. In addition, I’m an active participant in, and fundraiser for, a number of charitable events and organizations, including Sick Kids, the Canadian Women's Foundation and various groups working in Regent Park. Most recently, I became an enthusiastic supporter of Soulpepper Theatre's "Top Women" program, and I continue to be involved with two groups that serve my immediate community: 100 Women Who Care and Heart to Hand.

In my spare time, I am an enthusiastic downhill skier, an “improving” tennis player, and an insatiable bookworm.

Embrace human behavior is the second principal of our Risk Priority Management philosophy, which we define as follows:

Can your kids afford to inherit the family cottage?

Early in their marriage, Pat and Marlene caught the cottage fever after summers of cottaging in rented properties.

Stashing Your Cash

Maybe you’ve checked your cash flow, and identified some extra money in your monthly budget to sock away, or maybe you’ve gotten a commission or bonus from your employer and are looking to put it aside for a rainy day.
