Experienced, Professional, Trusted Advice

Brian W. Sonoda began his investment advisory career in 1981 with Midland Doherty Inc., subsequently moving to TD Wealth in 2007.  When sons Adam and Jason joined the practice in 2014 and 2016 respectively, Sonoda Family Wealth Advisors was born.  Today our family group focuses on helping High Net Worth individuals, families, professionals and business owners navigate the unique challenges facing retirement and everyday life needs.

Born and raised in Hamilton, Brian graduated from McMaster University business school in 1978 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Magna Cum Laude) degree.  Among his many professional designations, Brian is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®).  He also has professional accreditation on Aging as well as certification in Retirement and Estate Planning Strategies.

Managing considerable wealth can be complex and time-consuming.  Using a distinctive approach to wealth management, Brian and his team focus on establishing a deep understanding of their clients' priorities, and then build a customized strategy rooted in their long-term goals.  As clients' needs change and evolve over time, so do the services and solutions that are offered.  Whether building a career or business, or shifting into retirement, our family team's insightful counsel, disciplined planning and dedicated risk management can help make our clients more confident in their decisions, and more focused on building their life dreams and future.

Brian and his family have resided in Burlington since 2000, after having moved from his hometown, Hamilton.  In their personal time, Brian and his wife, Sharon, enjoy family time, working out, reading and traveling together. He is also actively involved in the local community and supports a number of charities.

Please call Brian today at (905) 331-3356 for a confidential complimentary review, and discover what sets our family team apart from other advisors.
