Brian W. Sonoda began his investment advisory career in 1981 with Midland Doherty Inc., subsequently moving to TD Wealth in 2007. When sons Adam and Jason joined the practice in 2014 and 2016 respectively, Sonoda Family Wealth Advisors was born. Today our family group focuses on helping High Net Worth individuals, families, professionals and business owners navigate the unique challenges facing retirement and everyday life needs.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Brian graduated from McMaster University business school in 1978 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Magna Cum Laude) degree. Among his many professional designations, Brian is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®). He also has professional accreditation on Aging as well as certification in Retirement and Estate Planning Strategies.

Brian and his family have resided in Burlington since 2000, after having moved from his hometown, Hamilton. In their personal time, Brian and his wife, Sharon, enjoy family time, working out, reading and traveling together.
