About me

I have been working for TD for over 19 years helping clients manage their investment needs.  I work with individuals, families, and organizations with considerable investable assets and wide-ranging, often complex financial needs.  As our clients needs change and evolve over time, so do the services and solutions we offer.  Whether you are building your career or business, or shifting into retirement, our insightful counsel, disciplined planning and effective risk management help make you more confident in your decisions, and more focused on your future.

I hold a Masters of Business Administration in Financial Services from Dalhousie University in collaboration with the Canadian Securities Institute.  I also have an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration from Brock University.  I have successfully completed the following financial services designations: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), Financial Management Advisor (FMA), and Certified Retirement Specialist.

My wife Trish and I are kept busy with 3 active children.  I'm currently a volunteer hockey coach on 2 hockey teams for St. Catharines CYO Minor Hockey.  I sat on the Board of Directors for Family and Children's Services Niagara (FACS) for 8 years between 2007-2016.  As an alumnus of Brock University I was a mentor in the Brock-TD Canada Trust mentorship program between 2006-2012.  In 2011 and 2012 I taught a 3rd year course in Personal Financial Planning in Brock University's faculty of Business.

Our Philosophy_man_ENG.jpg

A commitment to a strategy that is aligned with your investment philosophy is key to the successful selection of investments for your portfolio. Failing to have a core set of principles can result in an endless cycle of switching from one poor product solution to another. The potential net result: a collection of reactionary ideas that seemed good at the time, instead of a well-tailored portfolio that aims to deliver at all times.

It’s a question I hear from doctors and patients alike. There are so many factors to consider that it arguably becomes impossible to answer. In fact, the best answer to the question of restricting patients to one issue per visit may indeed be: “It depends.”
