Get Organized Financially Ahead of Tax Season
As tax season approaches, taking time to organize your financial information can help you feel more confident and prepared. Staying organized isn’t just helpful during tax season—regular, small check‑ins throughout the year can help ensure your financial strategy continues to align with your evolving goals, responsibilities, long‑term plans, income needs, emergency savings, and household budgeting.
Here are a few tips:
- Organize key documents and accounts by gathering statements, tax slips, and contribution records in one secure place and reviewing your registered and non-registered accounts.
- Review balances and contributions to better understand where you stand today and ensure contribution levels remain aligned with your short and long-term objectives.
- Assess progress toward major goals such as home ownership, retirement, or building long term net worth, and identify areas that may be worth revisiting.
