Tax Season Checklist: Key Dates & Reminders
As we move into tax season, February is a good time to review retirement savings, confirm key deadlines, and ensure your financial plans remain on track. Taking a few simple steps now can help support a smoother filing process and keep your overall financial picture organized, including income needs, emergency savings, and household budgeting.
Important dates – 2025 Tax Year
- Late January to March: We're uploading all your tax slips to Easy Web and WebBroker and mailing out slips based on your delivery preference.
- March 2, 2026: This is the last day to contribute to your 2025 Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP). Be sure to stay within your contribution room—excess contributions over $2,000 may incur a 1% monthly penalty.
- April 30, 2026: Deadline to file your 2025 tax return for most taxpayers (for self-employed, see below). Any balance owing must also be paid by this date to avoid penalties and interest.
- June 15, 2026: The tax filing due date if you or your spouse or common-law partner are self-employed is June 15, your return will be considered filed on time if received on or before June 15, 2026.

2. How to access your tax slips:
Log in to WebBroker and go to Accounts → Documents (eServices) → Tax Documents to view and download your slips.
