James has been a member of the Canadian Institute of Financial Planners for over 15 years and is also a member of the Financial Planners Standards Council. During this time he has exclusively worked with high net worth families, trusts, corporations and medical professionals managing their portfolios to help them meet their future personal goals.
To stay current with the ever changing and often complex investment environment James is continuing his education in a graduate level curriculum that covers real-world investment analysis, portfolio management skills, and the practical knowledge needed in today's investment industry. It also emphasizes the highest ethical and professional standards.
James, his wife Nancy and four children call Niagara Falls, Ontario home. Outside of work James can be found at the local hockey arenas in the winter watching his sons at hockey months and cheering his children on the soccer fields in the summer months. As an avid boater and formerly nationally competitive water skier summer also includes time in the 1,000 islands region where he was born and raised.
As an auto enthusiast he is also involved with local cruise nights, car shows, travelling to car auctions with his wife and also looks forward to cars n' coffee monthly. Currently he has undertaken restoring classic cars with his two eldest sons in preparation for them to each drive when they get their drivers licenses.

Organizing and Simplifying Your Complex and Busy Financial Life
I have a firm belief that the families I represent view real risk as a permanent loss of capital and not as price movements of securities in their portfolios, as our industry defines it. This has guided my focus to concentrate on three critical areas.
1. Help manage relative and absolute risk
2. Help manage the effects of taxation
3. Help manage costs
This belief is apparent in my experience with families who have worked very hard to earn their wealth and are looking for allies to help preserve and grow that wealth in the most efficient way that is aligned with their stated goals.
