Doug has worked in the financial services industry since 2003. He established Marriott Wealth Management Group in 2009 which evolved to Marriott Bortis Wealth Management group with the goal of helping clients plan and build for the future they envision . A highly-qualified Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor, he offers affluent investors an elevated wealth experience through discretionary investing.
With a focus on developing long-term relationships and a deep understanding of what matters most to clients, Doug believes that he and his team have the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives. To that end, he encourages his clients to pursue their interests and live life on their terms.
Doug earned an undergraduate business degree in Finance at the University of Regina in 2001. He holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM®) designations, and has also obtained certificates in Advanced ETFs and Alternative Strategies.
In his personal time, Doug enjoys camping and boating with his family. He also gives back to the community through sponsorships and by donating his time to various organizations, including the Regina Estate Planning Council, Hospitals of Regina Foundation and the India Canada Association.
